Yes, breastfeeding is a natural process, but it’s also a learned skill. Prenatal education BEFORE has been shown to increase your duration and crush your feeding goals whether breast or bottle. The First Latch Prenatal Breastfeeding Class is designed to empower you with the knowledge and tools to start your journey strong and stress-free. Whether you’re a first-time mom or looking for a better experience this time around, this class has you covered.
What You’ll Learn:
During this interactive session, you’ll gain:
1. Breastfeeding Basics
• How your body prepares for breastfeeding during pregnancy.
• Understanding colostrum and the benefits of early milk.
2. Positioning and Latching
• Learn the best positions for feeding and how to achieve a comfortable latch.
3. Recognizing Baby’s Feeding Cues
• How to tell when your baby is hungry, full, or needs more comfort.
4. Troubleshooting Common Challenges
• Avoid and manage issues like engorgement, nipple pain, or low supply.
5. Milk Supply 101
• How to establish and maintain a healthy milk supply.
6. Creating a Postpartum Support Plan
• How to involve your partner and loved ones in your breastfeeding journey.
